Lower Churchill River Studies

The NLH implementation represents the NLH hydro facilities on the island of Newfoundland, several other private generation plants on the island, the Churchill Falls generating station on the upper Churchill River, and the two potential plants on the Lower Churchill River. It also models the major corridors of the HV transmission system, including the prospective multi-terminal DC line to link the island and mainland, as well as load centers and several export markets.

Site acceptance testing and user training has been completed, and the implementation is currently being used for strategic studies.
