Facility Upgrade Studies Underway at Mighty River Power

Mighty River Power (MRP) owns and operates nine hydroelectric plants (1000-MW) on the Waikato River in New Zealand. They contracted Synexus Global in August, 2006 to implement a real-time Hydro Advisory Tool (HAT) to improve dispatch efficiency. See HAT project description sheet for details.

Studies are presently ongoing, to assess the benefits and physical effects of generating unit upgrades.
