Synexus Global has just completed the installation of Vista at Tacoma Power facilities in Washington state, and has undertaken a training exercise for power schedulers and traders. The Vista system has been configured to represent the six hydroelectric generation plants on the Cowlitz, Nisqually, and Cushman Rivers; totaling 757-MW, as well as two manageable transactions of 705-MW and 70-MW. Successful operation of this system required the representation of a number of markets, as well as transaction rules. See schematic representation of the system below.

Tacoma Power will use the system for a 2-month trial period, prior to full implementation later in 2004.
