Vista will assist marketers and traders to bid into the California ISO energy and ancillary services markets. Ancillary services that will be considered include

• Up regulation
• Down regulation
• Spinning reserve
• Non-spinning reserve
• Supplemental Bids – “Incs” and “Decs

It will also provide valuable information on mid- to long-term planning issues, including probabilistic revenue projections.

This Vista implementation joins several other notable US Pacific area generation entities (including Bonneville Power Administration, PacifiCorp, Avista, Hetch Hetchy, Idaho Power, WAPA-USBR's Central Valley Project, and Tacoma Power) in selecting the Vista Decision Support System software to meet their increasingly complex tasks of optimally managing water resources while most effectively bidding into the market, and dispatching their hydraulic generation assets.
