Generating Unit Upgrade Studies
Facility upgrade analyses have been conducted in the recent past as follows:
• Rock Island (662-MW) Generating Station, owned by Chelan County
• Cabinet Gorge (231-MW) Generating Station, owned by Avista Power
• Mossy Rock Generating Station (2 x 150-MW) , owned by Tacoma Power
• Powell River Generating station (51.5-MW), and Lois Generating Station (33.3-MW), owned by Brascan Power
• Vernon Generating Plant (10-MW), owned by TransCanada Hydro.
• Beaver Falls Generating Plant (10-MW), owned by Ketchikan Power in Alaska
These multi-year, hourly simulations were undertaken for existing power plants, and for modified plants, in order to quantify benefits of facility upgrades. Operations over several years was assessed. |
