·        Real-Time “Hydro Advisory Tool” to be Implemented for Mighty River Power

Synexus Global has been selected by Mighty River Power of New Zealand to implement a Hydro Advisory Tool (HAT) to assist in real-time dispatch. News Release | Detailed Story

·        New Functionality

Vista release 4.0 enables joint optimization of energy production and ancillary services. Ancillary service products include regulation (up-reg and down-reg), spinning and non-spinning reserves, as well as load following increments and decrements.

·       HydroVision 2006 in Portland, Oregon

SGI had a booth in the exhibit area of HydroVision 2006 in Portland, held July 31 to August 4, and made two presentations in the technical program.

·        2006 User Group Meeting in California

Our fifth Vista User Group Meeting will be held on Friday, October 27. It will be located in San Francisco, California, at the Hilton San Francisco Fisherman’s Wharf. Register soon to guarantee your seat!

·        Vista Workshop in October

Back by popular demand… we will again offer a 1-day hands-on workshop on new Vista functionalities. The workshop will be run the day after the Vista User Group Meeting, at the same venue.

·        Facility Upgrade Studies

Several facility upgrade studies have been conducted by SGI on behalf of Hatch Acres who are under contract with respective power generation companies. Facilities evaluated are Ketchikan Power of Alaska, Lower Mattagami system for Ontario Power Generation of Canada, and two plants on the Connecticut River, for TransCanada Power.
