HydroVision 2006 in Portland, Oregon

Stu Bridgeman was one of four panelists in a session entitled “Optimizing Production to Maximize Revenue”. See the MS Powerpoint presentation here. The presentation provided a high level overview of the ways that optimization software can help the power generation company.

Richard Allen presented a paper entitled “Coordination of Hydropower and Wind Generation for Manitoba Hydro”. See the MS Powerpoint presentation here. The presentation provided an outline of the AUTO Vista study undertaken by SGI for Manitoba Hydro, to determine the cost of integrating wind generation with a hydro generation system. The authors of the paper were Diana Hurdowar-Castro, Stuart Bridgeman, Bill Girling, Kevin Gawne, and Kelly Hunter.
