• Tacoma Power Settles in with LT

Tacoma Power approved the Site Acceptance Tests for LT Vista in June, 2006, and has been applying the long term planning module on a regular basis since that time. See here for the detailed story.

• Manitoba Hydro Training

Four Vista users from Manitoba Hydro came to our Niagara Falls offices for a 3-day workshop on the Market Optimized Short-Term (MOST) application in service at Hydro. The workshop was a combined training session and brainstorming, aimed at improving the value of MOST and extending it’s use within the trading function.

• Southern California Edison Successful SAT and Training

The site acceptance test (SAT) for the LT Vista and ST Vista applications at Southern California Edison has been successfully completed and approved. Several training sessions have also been undertaken, and will be followed by a final session this fall.

The SCE Big Creek hydro system comprises 9 hydro plants with a total capacity of 1000-MW. The Vista system will assist SCE operations in the day-ahead bidding process of energy, up-regulation, down-regulation, spin and non-spin reserves; as well as load balancing (“inc” and “decs”).

• Idaho Power Wind

Idaho Power analysts have been successfully using AUTO Vista to assess the joint operation of their hydro facilities with various wind generation scenarios. They join four other Vista clients in the assessment of hydro-wind integration.
