The Vista interface provides the means to access nine different modules in four categories. The modules are classified below, along with the Vista Software characteristics. For more information about any of the modules, click on the module names.

DATA Module

  • Data Vista -- for defining system configuration, facility data, operational constraints related to water levels and flows, value of generation, outage or maintenance schedules
  • Real-time Data Vista -- for processing real-time data including SCADA data, weather forecast, backroute inflows

ANALYSIS Modules

  • Inflow Vista -- for generating short- and medium-term inflow forecasts
  • Load Vista -- for defining system load forecast
  • Xchange Vista -- for defining transaction opportunities including thermal generation resources
  • Report Vista - for preparing custom reports

OPERATION SCHEDULERS

  • Long-term Vista -- for long-term generation scheduling which guides medium- to long-term (1-2 year operations planning) storage management, hydro generation, thermal plant use and transactions
  • Short-term Vista -- for short-term hourly scheduling (two-week horizon)

STUDY Module

  • AUTO Vista -- for analyzing detailed system operations for multiple hydrologic scenarios over a 1-year or longer study period
