Vista is based on a distributed client/server architecture allowing multiple and geographically separated users to access the same information and share data. The computer system architecture is comprised of an independent Pentium PC-based client/server system, with the database server and user workstations located at sites specified by the client. The database servers can be UNIX-based or NT-based.
